　　Peter Balint-Kurti，美国北卡罗来纳州立大学昆虫与植物病理系教授，美国农业部农业研究所（USDA-ARS）植物科学研究中心植物病理学家、遗传学家。1990年获得剑桥大学生物学学士学位，1994年获得英国植物学研究中心（John Innes Centre）植物病理学/遗传学博士学位。兼任国际学术期刊《Molecular Plant-Microbe Interactions》高级主编、《Molecular Plant Pathology》和《Plant Pathology》编委、《Phytopathology》高级主编等。Balint-Kurti教授主要从事玉米数量抗性遗传研究和玉米的防御反应分子机制，在Nature Genetics、Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences、Nature Reviews Genetics、Molecular Plan、PLoS Genetics、Trends in Plant Science、PLoS Pathogen、Plant Physiology等国际学术期刊发表论文80余篇。文章被引次数超过5000次。
