　　报告人简介：

　　John Schiefelbein, 现任美国密歇根大学（University of Michigan）分子细胞发育生物学系教授。1987年在美国威斯康星大学（University of Wisconsin at Madsion）获得博士学位，1987-1989在美国密歇根州立大学（Michigan State University）进行博士后研究，1992年获美国NSF Young Investigator 奖。主要从事以拟南芥为模式的植物根表皮细胞的发育研究，在植物根表皮细胞的细胞分化和细胞形态建成方面有着卓越的研究成果。先后在Cell, Science, Annual Review of Plant Biology, Current Opinion in Plant Biology, Current Biology, Plant Cell, Development Biology 等国际高水平杂志发表研究论文30余篇。
