应动物医学院邀请，柏林自由大学药学院院长Melzig 教授将来校开展天然产物药物领域的教学和合作科学研究。

　　专题课题目：Natural Product Research-How to investigate plants from traditional medicine for their biological activity

　　课程主要内容如下：
　　
　　1. Introduction
　　2. How to select a plant for investigating its biological activity
　　3. Collection and botanical identification of plants
　　4. Preparatory operations (drying, freezing)
　　5. Extraction procedures
　　6. Pharmacological screening with extracts in vitro / in vivo
　　7. Activity-guided isolation of active compounds in vitro/ Phytochemistry
　　8. Specific pharmacological investigations with the isolated compounds in vivo
　　9. Apply for a patent
　　10. Investigation of the general toxicity of the extract and isolated compounds in vivo

　　 讲课人介绍：

　　Matthias F.  Melzig教授，天然产物药物学博士，主要研究方向为天然产物药理学，植物药学和天然产物特征研究。现任德国柏林自由大学（Free University Berlin）药学院教授、院长。兼任药用植物和天然产物研究学会国际大会主席、德国顺势疗法药典委员会主席、欧洲组织培养学会执行委员会委员。已发表190余篇论文，200余篇会议报告和墙报。
