报告人简介：

　　Jianming Yu, is a associate professor in agronomy department of Iowa state university, USA. Yu earned a bachelor's degree in agronomy at Northwestern Agricultural University in China, master's degree in plant breeding and genetics from Kansas State and a doctorate in plant breeding and genetics from the University of Minnesota.

　　His current research focus on quantitative genetics and maize breeding, including genome-wide association studies (GWAS) with diverse germplasm or multiple designed mapping populations, genomic selection (GS) to efficiently integrate high throughput genotyping into various breeding processes, gene cloning of traits with agronomic and domestication importance, and DNA and genome evolution across taxonomic groups.
